We climbed Donzurubo in Nara prefecture.

Even though it was April, the summit was windy and a bit cold. I was deeply moved to see the rare scenery where the white rock surface was exposed.

About Donzurubo:
Donzurubo is a mountain of strange rock formations and scenic beauty in Kashiba City, Nara Prefecture.
The volcanic activity of Mt. Nikami deposited volcanic debris, and the subsequent upheaval exposed tuff. After 15 million years of weathering and erosion, it became a rocky mountain with an altitude of about 150m. Rocks such as sanukite and garnet diorite are produced. It is a natural monument of Nara Prefecture and one of the highlights of Kongo Ikoma Kisen Quasi-National Park.

On that day, the three of us went to Donzurubo.
Walk for about 15 minutes on a slightly sloping road from the parking lot. It’s not that long a distance.
Even though it was April, the summit was windy and a bit cold. I am deeply moved to see the rare scenery where the white rock surface is exposed. I attached a small recorder to the drone and flew it, but the sound was mostly propeller noise.

Besides us, there were about 3 groups of hiking groups. After we finished looking at the summit, we met a group of foreigners on the way down. This place seems to be famous.
